AS PART OF THE POLİSAN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECT, 100.000 TREES HAVE BEEN PLANTED.
Polisan Holding has already planted 100,000 trees on the 2,000 decares of land taken over 18 years ago, for a total of 49 years, from the Ministry of Forestry.
Necmettin Bitlis, who could not remain insensitive to logging around his 50 decare land in the Dilovası Region at the beginning of the 1990’s, contacted the Ministry of Forestry, which proposed that he take over the forest proximate to his land based on a “protect and use” method. Since then, the Holding has volunteered to protect 2,000 decares; and spent approximately TRY20 million. Additionally, the Holding had the forest area surrounded by wire fence and protective walls; prevented the logging; and planted 100,000 trees within the framework of the “Afforestation Law”.
The Holding has founded two Polisan Schools; one in Malatya and another in Dilovası. Serving since 1988, the Mehmet Emin Bitlis Secondary School was constructed with an investment of approximately $500,000 at current prices. The reputable women reflected their reactions to the camera against the sense of violence by crying, shouting, and screaming at the word: “violence”.
59 artists posed for the camera for two different concepts for the photograph exhibition organized for the second time within the context of “Every Voice One Breath” Project.
The artists, who looked through a hazy and dirty glass for the first concept, represented outcast, silenced, and suppressed women; telling the personal frustration of women with their free and natural expression. For the second concept, on the other hand, the artists posed in a net, expressing that the women were precluded and that this issue could have been solved through social consciousness and education network. They revealed that the women’s issue is not personal rather a social wound and women who felt like ensnared in a fish net and socially dragged are not alone.
